What is a Network Interface Card (NIC)?
A NIC is a hardware device that allows you to connect to a computer network. This can refer to any network card you might have inside (or conencted to the outside of) any device. NICs can be either wired or wireless.

USB networking devices technically aren't cards, but they still count as NICs.
