Why Widescreen?

What does SLR stand for?
SLR stands for Single Lense Reflex. This refers to a camera where you don't have separate photographic and viewing lenses (known as a range finder). With an SLR, you actually look through the photographic lense to line up your shot. This prevents poorly aligned images since what you see in the viewfinder is what you'll get. Range finder cameras have a small distance between the viewfinder and photographic lense. This can make your framing less accurate. An SLR lines them both up, so you know exactly what you're getting.
