What are SA-CDs?
SA-CD stands for Super Audio Compact Disc. It's similar to a regular music CD, but it has some additional features.

An Super Audio CD allows up to 5.1 channels of audio, just like a DVD. In addition, SA-CDs use a higher quality audio format, so even stereo discs can sound better than regular CDs.

SA-CDs hold more data than standard CDs. Many are hybrid discs that will also play in regular players - just not in a multi-channel format. SA-CD players will also play standard CDs.
